Tampa Bay Margarita Fest | May 25, 2013

Who wouldn’t want to kick off the first long weekend of summer at an outdoor festival with practically every variety of margarita you could imagine?  The Tampa Bay Margarita Festivalattracted over 4,000 attendees doing just that at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on May 25th.

uDream Events professional bartenders created over 12 different varieties of margaritas at 11 custom bar stations throughout Margarita Fest from 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm.  Guests raved about that Grand Mango Jalapeño Margarita served exclusively in the VIP tent.  My personal favorite was the Prickly Pear Margarita, which had a tangy-sweet twist.

Guests spent the day listening to live music, visiting tasty food trucks from Tampa Food Truck Rally, playing beach volleyball and corn hole on the man-made beach.  For many guest, a taco happy hour provided by The Lime Restaurant was the perfect compliment to their margarita-filled taste buds.  Tacos, tequila and sunshine, I couldn’t ask for more!

VIP access included private cabanas, specialty margaritas made by uDream Events expert bartenders, personal cocktail waitresses and fresh chips, salsa & queso.  This was an attractive upgrade for guest looking for a more exclusive experience and less wait time in the bar lines.

We also offered Zingo, a designated driver service which provided guest with an option for a safe ride home so they could try many ‘rita flavors and enjoy in the festivities.  The event wrapped up at 11pm with a vibrant Fireworks show over the Bay.  We’re already looking forward to Tampa Bay Margarita fest 2014 – with many more bartenders, additional bar stations, shorter bar lines and fun new margarita flavors! It was such a pleasure working with Big City Events and all the amazing vendors involved.  See you next year!
