When the 3rd annual Sueños de Dalí event was announced and invited guest to “venture down the rabbit hole into the many realms of wonderland” it certainly did not disappoint in execution. You, quite literally, were escorted through a whimsical, flowing black tunnel, or rabbit hole, to enter The Dali Museum. Once inside, you were offered a pink test-tube shooter, reminiscent of the “drink me” vile Alice consumes upon entering Wonderland. This was one many special touches that took this year’s Alice in Wonderland theme above and beyond expectations. Another was being greeted by a large, hookah-smoking caterpillar which also presented the first photo opportunity for guest. There were certainly plenty of opportunities with Wonderland characters and decor throughout the event. I may have indulged in a few selfies and come out with a new profile picture myself!

Of course, my instinct was to head straight to one of the three uDream Events bars. We made our way to the custom glow bar where we had to make a decision between a variety of Spanish wines, beer or two custom uDream Events specialty cocktails. My cohort and me decided we would each try one of the specialty cocktails. We shared sips between the two cocktails cleverly named “Muchness” which was more tart and the “Cheshire’s Grin” which was on the sweeter side. I have to compliment our bartender Anthony, who always serves his guest their delicious libations with a smile.

With cocktails in hand, we ventured over to investigate the gourmet seafood. The food’s beautiful presentation was only matched by its mouth-watering flavors and freshness. It was a seafood lovers paradise starting with a classic shrimp cocktail, fresh oysters and muscles to Louis Salad (snow crap, rock shrimp, bay scallops), Cobia Ceviche Spoons (shrimp and scallops) and Gazpacho shooters. My favorite dish was the tuna tartare, made in front of guest by a “Best of the Bay” chef.

Filled with the delicious gourmet seafood and second drink in hand, we wandered around the event. With our cocktail courage we hit the checkerboard dance floor, briefly encountering a Red Queen costume that put my Cheshire Cat to shame. The tunes were provided by Tweedle Dee & Tweddle Dum DJ’s. Across the dance floor were the desserts. Delicately placed on porcelain tiered towers, the display was fit for the Mad Hatter’s tea party. We were forced to try a multiple flavors of delectable fudge and sweet powdered cookies. We ended the night mingling with guest debating who had the best costumes!

The uDream Events team had a great time working with The Dali Museum and were happy to provide the bar service for this event. We are already looking forward to next years Suenos de Dali and future events at The Dali Museum!
